    Macphistfly,
I understand your point of view. I lived in Venezuela for 19 years, I was raised there. And let me tell you, CHAVEZ is a threat to the world and to Venezuelan's.
please read previous posts in this same topic where you can find some of my opinions on Chavez, when I asked everyone about him....
    this was already discussed...
what wasn't discussed is about Bush, in my honest opinion he's involved in all that you said and even more I believe.... and as far as I know, he commited fraud to get to the White House, so he's no saint of my devotion...
    cheers!

I understand your feeling towards Chavez my friend, but he is putting up a fight against the globalist forces at large, that control the united states.

Chavez is taking on the global elite that like a pariste has infected the USA

In taking on this elite, Chavez has built his attack on the legitimacy of the uni-polar world and U.S. imperial domination on two pillars.

    1) By following a populist course of serving the interests of his own country rather than an elitist fad-driven ideologue of submission to the role of a slave cell in a global dictatorship. This has afforded him the overwhelming support of his countrymen domestically.

    2) By consistently and vociferously denouncing the U.S. led imperial agenda as being mired in a toxic soup of lies, deliberate carnage and false justifications. Chavez' repeated attacks on the official story behind 9/11, other state sponsored acts of false flag terror and their exploitation to advance geopolitical agendas has resonated internationally.

Chavez's socialist leanings do not sit well with many, this author included, but no one can deny that his actions have contributed substantially to reversing the stampede of world fascism, neo-mercantilism and economic meltdown presided over by unelected, unchecked, faceless powers in pursuit of a global totalitarianism.
  2. What do you think about the revolts in Burma (Myanmar, Birmania...) ?

How is turning a Democratic country into a Communist regime serves his country interest?

Chavez has helped the poor in his own country, he has served his own countrys needs and not become a globalist tool. I don't believe him to be a Communist, i think he is a renegade because he is a Politician who actually cares about his own people.

It hurts when people die, but at least they are dying for a cause.

Its about time that the Myanmar people take a stand!
For the past 20 years they've been suffering and I really hope that this will put an end to it!

As for your question Easports43, for the past few days Buddhist monks and apparently another 100,000 people protested against the militant regime.
Since Buddhist are usually in their temples, it is a rare occasion that they went outside and protested. Once the Myanmar people saw that they protested thousands more joined them.

In response the military is shooting them. The casualties [so far] are about 20 and hundreds were arrested and beaten up. Also on every street there are dozens of armed soliders.

The monks are not responding in violence, so basically it could turn into a massacre.

Also the military is telling people not to protest or else they will kill them.

Today 70,000 protested, so lets see what will happen tomorrow.

"Intransigence Is All Around, Military Is Still In Town"

let's hope that they will stop suffering over there, NOW.

I coul't have explained it better.

He helped them for the short term, not the long run. He gave them food and money only so he can get elected.
Now that he is elected he is doing what ever he wants and no one can even criticize him. He makes up laws and people are forced to except them or else they will be killed.

For instance, he shut down a very important liberal TV station just because they were criticizing him.

Do you really want to live under a regime which won't let you express yourself?

So yeah Bush is not that far from being a dictator, but at least you can vote and criticize him, you can elect someone else to replace him and so much more. Whereas Chavez just took his people's rights and threw it to the trash.

That is exactly what Bush is doing!!!!
Have you not even heard of the patriot act?! it completely pisses on the US constitution.
Do you really believe the Media's account of Chavez, or Ahmadenijad? The media is run and controlled by people seeking to wage war against these countries, so if they call those men dicatators why should you believe them? Why should you have so much faith in the biased controlled media that all traces back to the CFR/Trialateral.
(Watch more tv/everything you know is wrong)
Chavez did not throw his peoples rights into the trash, but Bush is with every second he spends in office.

    Bush wiretaps!
    Bush starts illegal wars!
Bush is behind a whole pile of shit, but you don't hear most of it because the corporate media chooses you not to.

The media is already setting up wars the pretense for war against these 2 countries, of course they're going to lie and call these soverign nations 'rogue states is all an excuse for oil and globalisation! And the sooner people wake up to all the lies the better!

That's why I said Bush is almost a dictator - because of the patriot act!

I don't have much faith in the media and I try take everything in proportion. When I said that you could criticize, I ment you as an individual and that your supporting a candidate that is criticizing his own government [which is good!]. Such a thing can't happen in Venezuela under Chavez's regime.

and the media has to write that there are going to be wars so they can get more readers. Just like when they take someones quote and switch it so as if he said something more exaggerate, just so they can get more readers.

In Israel it's not that better. Every day the headline is about a different Arab country that wants to kill us. 99.999% of this is bullshit. Some foreign official will say something like " I'm not going to Israel this summer" and the Israeli media will turn it to "Official declared war on Israel! run to the nearest bunker!!!!!!!"

The media is pretty much the same everywere, it exaggerates to get more readers.

I don't believe that Chavez wants a war with anybody, but what he is doing to his country speaks for itself.

Indeed. A few months ago, a teenager was imprisoned one night just because he insulted to Bush in his Blogpage. Just one example.
