Has mediafire stopped allowing downloading of boots?

I think if you call it "Holiday video" or "Johnny's Recital" it's unlikely to be disappeared. I would also recommend obscuring or anonymizing links as they do trackbacks.

Yeah thats an option. Although i am 90% sure a member reports them, then the filename doesnt matter.

This is true. If someone's being a douche, then it doesn't matter how legal the file is; it'll still get deleted.

so.... are the bootlegs that have only been on mediafire until now "lost" to our archive for the moment?

No, at all. They haven't deleted all links (yet? who knows), only some ones. They're deleting more and more each week, but we can't say it's overcoming us... yet.

I think Remy has all bootlegs and he has been reupping a lot lately.

Better news: TOS of rapidshare has been improved a lot. Files wont be deleted after inactivity. So from U2start's perspective it seems that RS will take the main hosting crown

Yeah that does suck

But there is not much we can do. We tested several hosts in the past and RS has been the most reliable one.

I had personally bad experiences with Sendspace and MegaUpload. MediaFire was great for free users, but thats no use when they delete all the time

just a coincidence that I got a mail by rapidshare today where they offer a new flatrate sort of thing for users? they seem to know the things that are going on...
