1. Audio AND video from different nights spliced into the same concert. I don't think it's very common for them to use ONLY audio from a different night and sync it to their lips...they generally just use the other night altogether. Hence why Edge changes positions a few times in UTEOTW on the Slane DVD, and Bono's birthday signs disappear and reappear throughout Chicago.

but i didn't know about slane
  3. I've been around www.coldplaying.com (one of the bigger -if not the biggest- Coldplay forums out there, as far as I know) this morning, and I've been surprised how nicely they treat U2 around there. Lots of common fans, and lots of respect even in the most U2-hater posts... Very different to what happens in U2 boards (U2start included). Interesting.

any word on that forum about a DVD release from the Viva la Vida tour? still can't believe not dvd from the X & Y tour and now Viva la Vida... disappointing
  5. There's thousands and thousands of topics and posts, do you really thikn I've read it all??

I think that, if a DVD is/would be in proccess (which I doubt, over one year after the tour ended), we would already know.

haha sorry... just thought you may have come across somthing thats all... it sucks though, one DVD from their whole career
  7. It's quite strange in my opinion too... They might not be THE live band, but sure they pull out a great show live, audiences are crazy about it and every concert I listen to is nailed to perfection. They could make an official DVD just from any show they'd want to, but... They simply don't want. I really don't get it.

Me neither. The concert I attended in 2009 was pure class. And I just love the Live 2003-dvd. It's atmospheric, pure and intense. Beautiful.

Also Toronto 2006 (How We Saw The World) was fantastic..Such a shame that the last one was never released as DVD. Although I'm not so keen on Viva La Vida, I would love to see a DVD of this tour as well.
  9. I'm going to see them in a few weeks at Pinkpop, What album do you guys suggest me to put on my iPod?? I already have Viva La Vida and Left Right Left Right.

Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y. So basically all of them.

But if you are just wanting to put one on, put A Rush of Blood to the Head on.

    I say Parachutes.

I just started getting into this band. Spent a long time bashing and bad-mouthing them, so a few days ago I decided "maybe I should actually give their albums a listen and see what I think". My brother has been a coldplay fan for a while, so he lent me all of their cds. Have to say as an album I like Parachutes the best, but the album with the best hits is X&Y. Speed Of Sound, Talk, Fix You, all amazing songs. Talk in particular is my favourite song by them (and yes I know the riff is ripped off from a kraftwerk song, I checked out the original and I have to say Coldplay's use of it is much better).

    This is all my opinion.

    Talk/Speed of Sound/Fix You

    vs.

Politik/Clocks/The Scientist (AND In My Place, for that matter)

I'll take A Rush of Blood to the Head
