1. I'd take One over Magnificent any day, especially when Mag is in that form. One is a true classic, I'd be disappointed to not hear it.

  2. The new mix, or just the performance? or both?
I'll give them the leeway of messing it up the first night, but if they get it right, I think it's much better than the original performances. A better tempo at least.

All versions but emphasis on this remix. Playing something faster doesn't make it better. They have a 'techno' album in POP. Play that instead of dressing up mediocre material that's been in the set since day one.

good point. maybe they're just holding out some last hope they can still remind fans they had an album called NLOTH...
...which they could do by playing the title track.

    + 1
    + 1
    + 1
  6. I'll argue this one:

The Magnificent remix doesn't work but let's be honest - neither did it's predecessor. The band seemed to think as much when it was dropped during the longest set list of the tour so far last month (correct me if I'm wrong on that).

Numerous people here have said the live version doesn't live up to the album version, which isn't too common for many songs for the band. Personally I'm glad that they're at least trying to reinvent the song. Do we really want NLOTH songs to drop to two, with a remix overhaul of another to boot? Particularly when it comes to the nearest song they had to a stadium anthem on that anthem?

On the other hand the drop in NLOTH songs has coincided with an increase in a rise in 90's songs.

Start of the tour - 2 90's songs guaranteed in setlist. For Saturday night there'll probably be 7 (EBTTRT, MW, UTEOTW, MS, Zoo, One, UV) and quite the possibility of Discotheque.

Whatever the argument, it's a bloody good thing they didn't call it the NLOTH tour
  7. Fair comments and no I would not like to see a further drop in NLOTH songs (I don't even count Crazy as a NLOTH song anyway). The face of the matter for me is that a 'new' song shouldn't need reinvented so soon. If they are tired of Magnificent or don't have faith in it then just drop it (they had no problem doing it with Breathe, No Line and Unknown Caller - all of which are much better than Magnificent). Don't speed it up or try to make it 'cool' or whatever the intention is. Cut it and free up space for some of the Pop stuff that they would appear to want to play.
  8. Its an utter disgrace that they dont play No Line On The Horizon.
