1. They overstepped the mark, but the fact still remains that they brought us out of the slump that Thatcher drove the country into. The problem was, as with generally every Labour government, they got carried away and overstretched. However, I don't care for party allegiances etc. If I hear anyone from the coalition say anything along the lines of 'coming together in the national interest' or 'the mess the last government left us in' one more time, just as if I hear Labourites throwing the same tired and worn-out accusations the way of Cameron and his marching band, I will flip. In fact, I already have. God help us if we ever get politicians who actually want to do some good rather than keep themselves in the money. As far as I can see, politicians get into power to get themselves into power - nothing more. It's a living nowadays, it's not a vocation to actually improve the lives of the people of the country they run. Labour overspend, Tories don't spend at all, in both cases it ends up going to shit and we then run around in a merry little circle hearing the same old bollocks about why the other party are worse. Every so often, the Lib Dems get their mits into the ring but soon enough get a slap on the wrist and told to go to bed because Mummy and Daddy are talking about 'grown-up things'.

    It's just pathetic.
  2. #spanishrevolution is the Trending Topic here in Spain since a few days ago. It's a long story so I won't tell you (you might be able to snap a few articles about this in your local newspaper or internet pages)... I'm heading to the Puerta del Sol, where 5.000 people are currently camped, to have lunch there and spend part of -if not the full- evening. I'll post pics when I'm there.
  3. Here it is, a BBC article about it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13437819

It's from yesterday night, today the camp has grown up to 4.500-5.500 people (according to official Police figures)... There has been no problem until now, no violence, no nothing. I'm just 10 minutes away the Puerta del Sol so I'll be off until I've got some stuff to share. See you

  4. What exactly is it that you want the politicians to do?
  5. I want to state for the record that I am proud that my country has rejected the nanny state.
  6. Obamacare. Just say no.
