  1. Hey guys. As we already know, the upcoming US/Canada shows are actually postponements from last year. And it's becoming more apparent the 360 Tour will come to a close in Moncton. All those rumors regarding the entire tour ending in Ireland have been evidently cloud talk.

    As we approach the final 22 dates, I've been wondering about something for the past several months.

    What would've the 360 Tour itinerary looked like if Bono hadn't hurt his back last year?

    Last summer, Bono underwent surgery just when the North American leg was about kick off last summer. And then the band went forward with the European leg. Plus, while they were in Europe, the NZ/Aus dates were announced for later in the year. Beyond that, no one knew where the band was going to take it from there.

    Would the band still have gone to South Africa and South America in February, March and April of this year? Would've the band added dates in the UK and Ireland?

    If Bono didn't need surgery- Where would've the final leg taken place? Where would've the final show of the tour taken place?

    Plus- Do you think the Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Winnipeg, Baltimore, and Moncton dates would have been added?

  2. Yeah, I thought it too. I think they would have played the same Australia&South America shows, and eventually they would have added the long-craved final European leg with the apotheosic finale in Dublin, that's what they were planning. So sad that he hurt his back

  5. If Bono hadn't hurt his back, Brazilian gigs would be the last ones of the hole tour (according to W. Diary). Imagine how great would be...

  6. If Bono hadn't hurt his back, I would have been away while the Claw would have been docked in my hometown. With the North American dates rescheduled, the show was pushed back a week. So instead of U2 being in my hometown during finals week, they are now playing the week right after.

    Basically, if Bono hadn't hurt his back, I wouldn't be able to see U2 perform.

    ... i wouldn't have to spend 2 weeks driving around 6 northwest US states and 4 provinces of western canada (BTW... roughly 6700 KM)
    ...i would have been able to see 2 shows in montreal!

  8. Then I wouldn't have got to see (possibly, still might change) Zooropa live this summer. I'm not saying I'm glad that the B-man got hurt, I'm just saying that there's heavy downsides but also upsides, speaking from someone who's going to see two show in 2 months time.

    After the Rose Bowl dvd came out, the band promised big changes going into Europe becuase (I think as Edge put it-) "Everyone's been able to see the current 360 show now (with the dvd release) so we're going to have to change it so people get a new experience". If they were to do the Canada/US shows as planned last summer, I would've essentially seen the same show that i saw in Toronto 2009. (Okay, I'll be honest, that was a once in a lifetime show. Your Blue Room, Stay, Unforgettable Fire- on and on) Either way, the show I'll be seeing this summer is going to be a lot different than the last one I saw, and I'm glad for it.
  9. i was thinking about this the other day, if he hadnt of hurt his back, then they woulda played Glasto last year. But would they have had EBTTRT, Zooropa etc all ready for that??? also it wouldant have been the 20th anniversery of AB so the setlist mighta been more 360ish?
  10. I really don't know what to think about it. I believe that if he hadn't, 2010 shows wouldn't have been so good. I really believe they took a new look at themselves. In my opinion, 2009 was too casual (there were good shows, especially in Europe, but something was missing), and it may be because Bono hurt that they had time to reinvent the show.

    However I don't know, that's just guessings...
  11. I don't think they would've visited Europe yet again,it would've ended in Latin America imo.
    If they were gonna do a Dublin finish they would've still done it after the current 2011 U.S tour.

    Edge's comment was in reference to the North American leg which was supposed to have started last summer. I think we would have gotten a different show, but probably not as different as ended up getting.
