1. Would we have heard:

    Return of the Stingray Guitar
    Mercy
    Glastonbury
    Boy Falls From The Sky
    North Star
    Every Breaking Wave
    All I Want Is You
    Love Rescue Me
    Out Of Control
Even Better Thann The Real Thing
    Zooropa

All songs that were added following Bono's injury.

Plus the Edge's performance with Muse.
  2. as gutted as i am that they postponed the leg and pulled out of glastonbury last year (they were the reason i bought my ticket), i doubt they'd have altered the setlist so dramatically had they not done so.

they had ages to think about how to change the show because of the injury, and i think the decision to 90s it up a bit came out of that, with them wanting to make a big comeback statement. otherwise i reckon it would have been (relatively) more of the same with the odd rotation here and there.

Well they did say that there was going to be a "new opener", so that might have been Return of the Stingray Guitar, could have been something else. As to the new songs like Mercy, Glastonbury, Boy Falls From the Sky, North Star & Every Breaking Wave - we would have heard Glastonbury at the festival, maybe Mercy since Willie wanted it to be played, but the others might have or might have not. The reason why those songs would have been played is because they could have changed their mind. They might have wanted to change up the show a bit. No one knows.
All I Want Is You & Love Rescue Me, I'm guessing, would have been almost definitely been played, but as said before - "no one knows".
And the rest? Well apparently, Even Better Than The Real Thing was going to be played at Glastonbury with footage of the Australian U2 show in the background. Wonder how that would've sounded... Out of Control & Zooropa - don't know, something that the band themselves should answer.

Edge's performance with Muse would never have happened if Bono hadn't hurt his back, never. Remember, U2 were going to be on the Friday originally but had to pull out (which led to the Gorillaz taking their place). They would have had 360 concerts on the Wednesday & Sunday, so that Glastonbury would slot in the middle. Muse were on the Saturday which was a night before a concert in North America. It would have been difficult for The Edge to get back to North America in time really. But that isn't the reason. The reason why The Edge got invited to play with Muse at Glastonbury was because of U2's cancelled apperance.
