1. GREAT interview. Great.
  2. Do continue! I love that English accent, love love love it. And Larry punches (not literally, though) Bono when he says "Well I'd like to know where you're going to do a U2 album, huh?"... I laughed out loud there! Great interview, once again.

PS. I think they might have watched the Popmart DVD recently... Discoteque, Mofo and Please snippets, various Popmart references...

  3. Btw, what I don't really get is this

"it'll be ready when it's finished, although I never feel like a U2 album gets finished, we sort of finish the songs live. But when it's nearly finished, we'll release it"

But euhm, didn't they like, play various songs live, multiple times, already ?
So, shouldn't they be quite finished then ?
  4. I don't think anything U2 does is finished, in a sense. You always hear things in the song you'd like to change.

And those are holy words - twice I've used them so far.
  5. God damnit Drew, I never recognize you with the changing avatars

You're right, they don't get finished, but I just thought it was rather bullsh*t when he said that line, because they played quite a lot new songs live, so they should be considered 'finished' or surely 'nearly finished' and be put on an album by now.

    Holy words ?
    EDIT : nevermind
  6. Just saw the interview. Great and funny indeed. How can they still have a good time with the fourr of them after such a long time ? I think that friendship is probably worth more then all their succes.
Best example to me is when someone asked "What global causes are you involved in now ?" (which is of course directed to Bono), Edge jumps in and responds to it
  7. Bono and Edge performing a Spiderman song on the American Idol finale.....Rise Above maybe? I've been out of the loop on the Spiderman stuff...

    That was interesting... Thoughts?
  9. The Broadway version is 10 times better, I think. This was still pretty good. Thought the beginning and end were awesome with the Spidermen flying around--the audience seemed to love that.
