1. I wouldn't count Singing In The Rain as a full, separate song, it was more like an ending snippet (a la Stand By Me after I Still Haven't Found)... but yes, it's been an amazing setlist and an amazing performance. I really really regret not having tickets to see them this summer

I absolutely REGRET not having bought tickets for their only performance in Spain this year, at the BBK Bilbao festival... the only downside is that it's 300 kms away from Madrid

No, Bono loves them. He said 'wanker and cretin' affectionately.

    Besides, Coldplay deliver.

and here's the recording of the show! it's one file, i'll post a fix up with the individual tracks in a bit

    enjoy!
  4. i just heard the new single, every tear drop is a waterfall

    i love it

and all i have to say is:

U2 are in trouble - don't know if they can keep competing with this

  5. Meh, let them steal a great sample too and they're off as well.
  6. Miss the hole Coldplay's party, but I'm really thankfull to see the downlink link above

  7. i have been thinking exactly the same thing... these guys just DO NOT have any bad songs... plus i'm worried that if U2 release an album around the same time as them and it's a flop and Coldplay's is huge then i think there will be a massive perception as to U2 being past it... I also think that this single may scare U2 off a bit from releasing an album any time soon because Coldplay are pulling off what U2 have apparently been trying to do and going in a new direction and experimenting
  8. Hurts Like Heaven sounds a bit arcade fire-ish...
  9. 2 Coldplay gigs in a row. Friday on the field, Saturday on the sofa. I had worse weekends. Not sure if it's a wise move if 1/3 of your set is completely unknown to the (non-Coldplay) crowd, but it's a brave one without a doubt. I bet Bozer is shitting his pants.
Some good stuff in there. Hurts like heaven is an amazing opener - hope they'll do an arena tour in autumn.

Anyway, here's my (audio) recording from last night - it's from the satellite TV feed, not from the Webcast. I might upload my recording from Rock im Park, too if I can save it from the broken HD of the iriver (should go back to good old MD).
