Probably the wrong site to ask as U2 isn't so much known as a heavy band but was wondering if of you were into this era.2001 is my fav music year with the nu-metal explosion of Bizkit,Linkin,Slipknot,Crazy Town,Papa Roach etc and Blink 182 were big in that year too,Elevation Tour was same year making it a real cool year for music.
  2. Not specially a fan of metal but I do like hard-rock, from the oldies (AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple) to the newer bands like some of which you mentioned (Linkin Park, Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy...). I prefer more melodic stuff though.
  3. early Limp Bizkit is pretty good, apart from that though nu metal isn't my thing.

  5. Don't really like Nu-metal. But Slipknot is pretty good!
  6. Can't talk nu-metal without mentioning IMO the godfathers Faith No More. Top 3 bands for me. Also love old incubus, deftones and System of a down. Of course there is also plenty of shit in this genre lol

    "The real thing" is simply "a must" album

  9. Linkin Park are one of my favourite bands, loved all of their albums. Liked Limp Bizkit when i was a kid but not now

  12. Yeah Fred Durst was a bit of a knobhead to be honest,Faith No More rocked,great band,so are the RHCP.
