1. PAUL
It's just not funny. Mr pegg you have milked this kind of movie enough. Move on
  2. Finally saw X Men First Class. Was as good as any other movie in the X Men series and perhaps superior in my opinion
  3. Watched a shit load of films in the last week or so.

    Scream.
    The Haunting In Connecticut
    Ice Age 3
    Toy Story 3 (Amazing)
    The Green Hornet
    The Social Network
    Inception
    Black Swan
    Unknown
    The Mechanic

All decent. Haunting In Connecticut a bit weird though, probably the worst there.

    Any recommendations?

Haunting in Connecticut infuriates me. On the extras of the DVD, they start saying that the movie is based on a true story, when it clearly isn't. The mother who claims that it's a true story is an utter bitch - putting so much emphasis on that word. She's like "call me a liar if you want, I'm not bothered, I'm just telling you that's what happened", when she tried to sue a writer for him creating a book on how it's a conspiracy & basically how it's a load of shit. So, why did she sue him then? Stupid bitch.

Besides all that, it's quite a crap movie too.
  5. Haha my arse that story is true, it's way too far fetched. The kid in it, Matt I think his name was was a total weirdo playing that role. He's the only thing that really freaked me out

Green Hornet was funnier than expected. But you didn't like Black swan?? Why?

I just saw Kung Fu Panda 2! Really funny
  7. Black Swan is a masterpiece in my opinion. And not just because of the amount of Tchaikovsky's music in there...
  8. Rec's for Joe, if you haven't seen them:

    Memento
    Fight Club
American Beauty, my favorite film of all time
The Departed (Just watched it on blu-ray the other night)
Ghostbusters (just popped into my head randomly haha)
    American History X
    Bad Boys/Bad Boys II
    Trainspotting
    Die Hard
    Back to the Future

Just a few of my favorites
  9. Also Joe if you loved TS3, my other favorite Pixar films are Monsters Inc (by a mile) and Finding Nemo.

    Super 8

rather disapointed with it, speilberg with nothing new to offer, the kids were great all acting beyond their years, they have crafted some serious trailor editing in my opion. i am sure it will be a hit none the less, maybe i am getting too old for this type of movie.

Thought Super 8 was fantastic. Wasn't a Speilberg film either, it was JJ Abrams (sp?). Speilberg had some producing influence but it was definitely not his film- I give credit to JJ for this one. The acting was superb and the landscape of the droll, boring hometown that suddenly is a military/alien warzone is fantastic when you've got actors as great as those kids were. Its almost like their dream come true, for something that immense to happen, and the movie does an amazing job of showing what a ride it was for them.

Left the film with absolutely zero complaints. Music was brilliant too (score, not 70s soundtrack)

Yeah it was actually better than I though it'd be. Black Swan I liked but it just didn't make much sense to me, the way it's all just in her head and stuff. Doesn't explain it too well

Going to see Kung Fu Panda 2 on Sunday
