no it's where the BBC grow things like tambourines, bongos and maracas and acoustic guitars!

no - you pretty much hit the nail on the head

  2. i always wonder about this...

seriously though if i was them i'd be proverbially SHITTING myself before taking to the stage (at least compared to the nerves they may or may not feel before a standard U2 gig)

    i'm shitting myself for them...!

I don't think they feel any nerves before normal shows. Maybe on the tour opening shows, or when they record DVDs or whatever, but not on standard shows, not anymore. Not after performing over 1400 concerts. I think they just enjoy themselves.

But I agree, I'm shitting myself too...
  5. I'm pretty nervous but more excited to see them. It'll be like Rose Bowl but not on a mediocre stream (my Internet was shit that day) at 5 in the morning. Plus there's extra Achtung, should be good
  6. Don't worry, if they kick off Anaheim2 style, they'll astonish the whole area.

  7. The setlist or that they might tank?

The Edge might be and I think they realize that they'll get a way better reaction (at any show - but especially at Glastonbury = if they play their (good) hits). Bono (and the other three for that matter) are pretty confident individuals and are planning to rock this one - and they will indeed.

the u2 haters probably have an idea in their heads of what they think U2 will do/play when they come on stage. Todays AB opening is probably the last thing they'd expect so i hope the band keeps it just to keep the haters on their toes
  9. My turn (although I have already done this before - a few times):

    1*. (minor miracle) Zoo Station
    1. Even Better Than The Real Thing
    2. The Fly
    3. Mysterious Ways
    4. Until The End of The World
    5. One
    6. I Will Follow
    7. New Year's Day
    8. Pride
    9. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    10. Stay
    11. Desire (gambling here; might also hear Angel of Harlem, but I doubt it)
    12. Elevation
    13. Beautiful Day
    14. City of Blindling Lights
    15. Vertigo
    16. Discotheque and/or HMTMKMKM
    17. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    18. Walk On

    19. Ultra Violet
    20. Where The Streets Have No Name
    21. With or Without You
    22. Bad/All I Want Is You/40

    - would also love to hear the Zoo-style BTBS/RTSS and even more Achtung Baby tracks
    - will likely play SOMETHING from NLOTH but I refuse to include it
    - will probably have a bunch of their own snippets, like "Please" and "Starting at The Sun"
    - even though I included it, I'd be shocked if they play anything from POP, if only becasue it hasn;t been "audience-tested."

  10. did Willie or someone say they were going to play THAT song from Pop at Glasto, was suprised it didnt get played today

highly doubt that unless they all expect them to open with boots - U2 haters don't really know anything about the band at all other than the fact that bono is a egomaniac who wears stupid glasses all the time and is a massive hypocrite for his tax dealings and that their singles over the last few years are pretty lame...

I dont think the so called U2 haters will be at the festival when U2 plays and do you really think they know what U2 plays nowadays?

Really looking forward to the show I know they will come up with something to show the world how awesome they still are, I hope Larry, Adam and Edge will tell Bono NOT to talk about something political or something to make the world better. People at the festival just want music and not a rock singer who keeps talking about something about Africa.
