1. I just can't stop watching it on 720p... So awesome.
  2. Pure awesomeness. I love not being at home for the week end, coming back, and see all of this
  3. To be honest, I'm not sure how the people who contributed to that multicam were able to contain their excitement enough to get that type of footage. I recall jumping/dancing/singing all throughout the song! The thought of recording it didn't pass my mind until it was over. Top notch stuff.
  4. Wow wo wwow wow. I truly wish that the Rose Bowl bluray looked that amazing!

I'm going to guess it was a few nice SLRs taking the footage.

I'm so thankful for Frefox's Downloadhelper. That's getting saved on multiple hard drives, haha.
  5. A multicam with those cams and more, matrix audio and everything is in the works I believe I can't wait! In Full HD I just read.
  6. Yup, there's at least 9 different HD sources, Edge and Bono's IEM were recorded, and at least a good audience was recorded too.
  7. That multi-cam is amazing

    Adam's IEM too.
  9. WOW!

The Fly!! So glad they played this as it was long overdue. A song that is clearly one of their best ROCK songs EVER.

From what I can see from the videos, the whole performance was damn tight. Edge seemed like he was playing absolutely brilliantly - the best I have heard him do the The Fly in a long time. Bono's vocals seemed spot-on! and he even seemed to make his voice more like his 90's Fly voice, which was very fitting. Larry and and Adam tight as hell in the rhythm section; I couldn't hear a beat out of place. I can't imagine how it must've been to actually be there. Sigh.

I like the swagger from the 90's in the Achtung Baby period, and I think it's part of what U2 do really well in their performances, and they should keep doing it, and not pass it off as something that is in the past. Their recent performances are proof that it still works.

More swagger, more playfulness, more ROCK. U2 have the gift and the art of doing this well, so they should bring it to the table more often. Glastonbury should be the same - don't strip down to basics; instead blast and rock people's heads off!! But they shouldn't also be frightened to throw in things like Zooropa and atmospheric greats like that - because they do those very well too - they have enough great material. "Please" segue into Streets would be a good one for glastonbury; it was one of the best segues into Streets they've EVER done and I still think it's great, they should so re-use it, just saying...
  10. I'd love to hear Bono's IEM actually, so we can actually hear what he's playing during The Fly That multicam is outstanding too, how did they get it looking like that so quick.

  11. His guitar doesn't sound that much/at all during most of the song, but the excellent close-ups provided by the multicam show that he's actually doing chords AND riffs... he struggles with the frets every now and then (he did a Cm instead of a C#m at some point ) but overall the pulled off some great looking playing. If only it had been also great sounding
  12. WOW! Just WOW!!!
