  1. Wow, are you my Italian alter-ego?

    In 1991, the Use Your Illusions were my favourite albums - I listen to them even more than AB. Not so much anymore, however.

    I suppose we should also give a shout out to Nevermind (although I never need to hear that album again) and, of course BadMotorFinger .

    hehehe we're from the same era and with mostly the same musical journey
    yes also those 2 of course and i would add the black album by Metallica, they could be hated (not by me) but that album was a burst. Alice in chains first releases were close to that year too.
    very "busy" times were those ones eh
    like said time ago the early 90's, and 1991 in particular, is the last incredible period for the quantity and quality of stuff that came out.
    that level has not been repeated yet
    my favourite was Achtung anyway, but i tend not to compare U2 with others


  7. yep .. it's a pleasant surprise for me .. i sincerly thought it could be much worse.
    i find lots of interesting and good things in there except for "A freak like me” (i think this is the title) which makes me realize the narrow escape of an U2 album with redone .. fiuuuu
    trying to imagine how it could have been sung mostly by Bono and Sinead O'Connor for example ...

    i have a soft spot for Freak like me but rise above 1 and 2, and Boy Falls from the Sky are my clear favourites


  9. I was thrown off by your new avatar.

    I saw GNR, Metallica, and Fatih No More back in 1992 - a few shows before James Hetfield caught on fire. To be honest, I was never a big fan of Metallica's music but I do respect what they've contributed to the music world. Faith No More was definitely one of the more interesting bands from the late-80's/early-90's. I think the rap/rock mash up in "Epic" was truly groundbreaking.


  10. in such a way it reminds me the only occasion a supporting band of U2 got my attention (Verona 93) .. don't know why hehe

    like i said in another topic "The real thing" by Faith no more is a must album, sort of milestone

    I love the falsetto at 1.57 min. (I can hear them climbing the stairs, I got my left side, fight you on the left, Hiding too much, yes)


    And again, the best part is at 1.57 min.

    The EP should've been called Major Minus, because Coldplay should be ashamed of Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall.
