  1. I could have sworn that I saw, somewhere here, a post with a performance of "Lucille" that U2 did at the US Grant Hotel.

    Anyone direct me to where it might be, if still posted?

  3. Thanks. I did look there. I thought that is where I'd saw that 1987 performance of Lucille at San Diego's "US Grant Hotel". But I must have been mistaken.

    Where DID I see that?

  4. You're not mistaken, those are the 2 dates you might've seen, but there aren't any bootlegs available for this dates as far as I know. The first one is from outside U2's hotel when Bono got a accoustic guitar handed over, and the second one was for a TV station (so of this one there might be a recording somewhere). Both dates include Lucille, the first one even two times.

  5. Yep. I was one of the nutty fans that followed the band back to the US Grant Hotel. Bono came out, I think at the hotels request, to hush us down. That was the first time I met Bono. He was very nice and everything a fan could hope for. He took time and talked with all of us, answered questions, took photos, signed things and then the guitar came out and it was 'summer by the campfire' time.
