Play it forever if you want

i just think in the 8-10 minutes they take to play the song and while bono speaks, they could have played a combination of two of breathe/NLOTH/fez etc in its place higher in the set
  2. Fez? That would bore me to death. Anyway, I still prefer Moment Of Surrender over any other song, just because it's one of my favorite U2 songs.

Anyones noticed that both Pride and I Will Follow reached the 800th performances mark this last weekend?
  3. What's wrong with MoS?
I absolutely love the song, especially the way it's performed live. The coarseness of Bono's voice as he sings the lyrics really allows him to move the audience. I know a lot of people think MoS is a weak closer, but it's a beautiful song with very meaningful lyrics. Also, it's a song in which both Edge and Larry join Bono to sing, which is really quite rare. To my memory, the only other song to employ this is Miracle Drug.

IWF will have had heaps more performances than that

  5. Everyone knows that, it could have up to 100 more, it just reached it's 801st known performance

i do think it is a weak closer, and even a weak song live

maybe my opinion would change if it were played at an intimate arena show, not a large stadium show for a long, slow song like that.
and having seen kite previously as a closer, i don't think any other U2 song will ever compare to how that closed that concert back in 2006, in my opinion.

i hope 40 closes this gig though

I absolutely love the song. I also think it could be their best closer yet.

    Elevation too

  9. why didn't you say that then, silly!

  10. Well not better than 40 as the closer

    But otherwise I agree
  11. Seems like they dropped Magnificent altogether
The Fly is a great replacement for it
  12. according to u2 gigs bono read out the lyrics to jungleland again as he did in ana 2, don't you think he would have had time to memorise that verse or two and not look so silly reading them off the sheet of paper?
