  1. Going to put my mobile away now and try to sleep. I really enjoyed this night sleep well all
  2. Moment Of Surrender was actually a very good performance, despite the lackluster crowd.
  3. What a night
I've been watching in (loudly) on my tv and well, it was overall great imo.
Then I come back : 66 more pages than when i left

-Streets was waaaay too early and there wasn't an intro! I mean come on, that is part of the magic!
    -Bad ended a bit abruptly

As for crowd, I thought they were a bit tame
Oh, and they could've ended with WOWY or Pride imho

But overall pretty fucking awesome show!

But, these are almost the same critiques I had too.

I'm not a fan of MoS + I don't think it works on a festival...
Luckily Out Of Control followed, but it was strange as a final song I think.
It should've ended after WOWY, cause the crowd and band sounded perfect at the end.

    But hey, it was great
The highlight for me : One
  4. Have to agree with those who were disappointed that there was no NYD. Like pretty much everything else that was played, NYD is a true classic. Would have like to have heard AIWIY, as well. Very surprised they didn't perform "Walk On." However, I must walk away from this thinking of the glass as 7/8 full as opposed to 1/8 empty. (I realize I have butchered the saying.)
  5. 1 A festival crowd

    2 A non U2 crowd

3 Out of their comfort zone

4 A well thought out set list

5 Best headline performance in years

6 They looked like they enjoyed it

7 The songs made the show lighting top class though

    8 Best U2 performance since Dublin R.D.S 1993 , FACT

    9 BRAVO
  6. Number 8... Meh, wasn't that good. It's definitely up there though
  7. So drunk.
  8. It's amazing. Hahaha
  9. Even allowing for the weather, can anyone honestly tell me what recent Glastonbury headliner put in a better performance than U2 tonight? They were brilliant.

They got it so right. Setlist was paced well. Very little preaching, just pure charm. Bono killing them with kindness.

The 'protest' was a joke. Have you seen the tawdy inflatable they had planned. English public school boys protesting on behalf of us poor potato eating Irish fools. No thanks.

You might argue that NYD or All I Want Is You could have been included, but what would you drop, MoS? But even that was performed as well as ever.

Bono's snippets were spot on. Yeah, Larry was right, the stage was back a bit from the crowd (but same for all other acts, it's a festival!), but they brought in a mini sneaky catwalk which was probably treacherous given the conditions. He even said in the interview after that he decided to concentrate on his singing and to great effect!

Brave to hammer into an AB opening salvo. The visuals were great. Bono was on fire (and had his homework done - loved the band intros). Crowd seemed to respond well. And come on, every real fan had to be delighted with Out of Control as an extra encore.

I feel proud of U2 tonight. They produced the goods when their backs were to the wall.

    Bring on the bootleg!!
  10. So I'm almost certain that a broadcast quality bootleg will be produced for tonight's amazing performance. But now I have a problem... I'm running out of space on my iPod to put bootlegs! Unless I decide I want all 16gb to be dedicated to U2...
