anyways i hope some of that energy from glasto carries over to this show. really excited to be going to the first show after such a great moment in their careers. also kind of hoping they do something special seeing as they're 3 years into this tour and just hitting michigan for the first and only time >.<
anyways, it's going to be a great night. perfect way to kick off my week-long vacation see you all there

edit: this is my first 360 show

Hey look me up I will be there around 10 or so.

and trust me, there won't be any messing around. i'm running straight there. i don't even care if i lose the rest of my party on the way

It's a really popular spot and it might well depend on how many people are ahead of you when you get there. It's never a done deal til you're on the field though; all sorts of things can happen that will affect where you can get to. But best of luck; it's a great spot to see the show from.

edit: also, doors are at 5:30. do they always open up that early for u2? i've never heard of a concert opening up that early. but i've also never done ga for a u2 show.

5:30 gates is pretty standard for U2 shows. Pro-tip: sit down when you get in, especially if you've got rail and get the people around you to sit down too. It'll be the last chance you get for about 6 hours and it stops the crowd getting too dense too quickly around you. The support band won't go on til probably 8pm-ish and U2 sometime around 9-ish (+/- 30mins).

    Have fun!
  3. The calm after the storm. Definitely liking the ominous title.

Well, I personally think one of a couple things can happen.

    1) The band decides to take it easy after Glastonbury and this show (along with the rest of the 360 Tour) becomes stellar performances of relatively standard setlists (I do realize that the tour has evolved so much that it's hard to say what "standard" really is.)

    2) The band decides to ride the Glastonbury high and use an extended Glastonbury setlist for the rest of the tour. This means the Achtung Baby Super Five (Yes, that's what I'm calling it) will start things off, then the setlist will proceed as normal.

    3) My personal favorite. The band decides that after their amazing performance at Glastonbury, they want to continue the fun by not restricting the setlist to any structure whatsoever, essentially turning the rest of the 360 Tour into the Pacific Leg of the Vertigo Tour. The band will play as many random and obscure songs as possible just for kicks. We may see the return of gems such as Kite, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, One Tree Hill, Electric Co, and whatever else the band can think of.

In either case, I hope the band rides the high all the way to the end and I hope the crowd responds to it.

hopefully if i get there around noon i'll be able to get it. also east lansing is a very different city than say, l.a. or chicago, places of that nature. so i'm hoping that people will be a little less crazy about their lining up and whatnot.

i'll definitely be sitting as long as possible i get the feeling that that last wait between florence + the machine and u2 is going to be just awful after camping out all day. i'll manage though.

hopefully they don't "take it easy. they better give it their all since this will be their only time hitting michigan on this tour.

THIS! although there's no way the do this (at least not at this point in the tour) it would be amazing to be totally surprised by every song. but with the show being the way it is, so carefully planned and all, we might not get anything like that on this tour

Yeah, I'm sure it'll be somewhat less insane. One thing I'd mention though (dunno if you've seen it) the stadium is being unusually strict about what you can bring in, so check the website/u2.com for details so you don't get held up at the gate.
  7. I guess my dream here would be...and its not often you have a shot to dream and see it come true...If they finished the rest of the tour having fun. Don't worry about NLOTH songs or the claw, just play the best U2 shows you can play. the Anaheim 2 show and Glasto should be the jumping off point of live U2 for the rest of this tour and into the next...why not

  8. That's what I've always called them - well, not quite by that name but you get my drift. These five tracks are legendary - the other seven are awesome to but these five have "star-power."
  9. U2gigs retweeted some girl: Dallas also told me and @Bonogirl360 "we're going to switch up two songs tonight"... Now what that means... Hmmm??

What does switch up means? New songs or songs like Bad and AIWIY back in the setlist?
  10. Switch up is changing positions, I think. Maybe they're about to open with The Fly? hahaha

  11. Larry's EBTTRT-drums should open a concert.

edit They may open with Streets and One
