1. What is the best setlist U2 has ever put together...what show IYO, not neccessarily the best they ever played but at least the best they have ever attempted? It starts for me with Glasto and Slain...and prob a Love Town or JT tour show, i will do some digging and check back.
  2. That's easy...Stockholm '92 (or anything identical to it).

  3. Hit the nail on the head. Any of the Dublin 89' shows are amazing too, in terms of having the best songs from the 80's.

As for all around, I'd say quite a few of the 2011 360 gigs have really really good setlists. In fact, many of the 360 shows have great setlists. The one show I've attended so far ( Toronto 2009 - don't worry, I'm seeing 3 more in July ) had a really amazing setlist, and that's not just because I was there!

    Breathe
    No Line On The Horizon
    Get On Your Boots
    Magnificent
    Beautiful Day / Alison (snippet)
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For / Stand By Me (snippet)
    Elevation
    Your Blue Room
    Unknown Caller
Until The End Of The World
    Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
    The Unforgettable Fire
    City Of Blinding Lights
Vertigo / Pump It Up (snippet)
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight / Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (snippet)
Sunday Bloody Sunday / Oliver's Army (snippet)
    MLK
    Walk On

    encore(s):
    One / Amazing Grace (snippet)
Where The Streets Have No Name
    Ultra Violet (Light My Way)
    With Or Without You
    Moment of Surrender

    I was there, too!

Are you seeing the two in Montreal as well as a T.O. show again?

  5. Awesome!

I'm seeing the first Montreal show - on the 8th, (sadly not the second) the Toronto show, and the final night in Moncton on the 30th. What about you? It's so damn close, I'm so freakin' excited!
  6. just started relistening to South Bend elevation tour, tough to go back to, first time in well over 5 yers for me, really sick setlis! Maybe the best of elevation as afar as songs and order in the set.

    Just T.O.

Good for you getting out to NB for that show...it's great for everyone who lives out there. maybe they'll play something special it being the last show of this tour and all. Now if we could only get them an NHL team (the East Coast, not U2).

An absolute CLASSIC. Love that show...one of the very few from that tour with both WOWY and ISHFWILF. Awesome sound. "One" is nice - very long speech beforehand but I suppose you can't knock a post-911 rant.

  9. And I was there too! That was a great show.
  10. Zoo TV - 1991-1992. JT followed by AB made the best set lists.

Thanks! I talked a bunch of my friends into making the trip (some of which are "casual U2 fans") so it'll be a special night for sure. I too hope they pull out somehting sweet, but even if they don't, I'm sure it'll still be a unique night.

    Agree about the team!
  12. Any setlist with Zooropa and Ultraviolet in the same show
