1. I got U2's album War from Ebay. It looks like it had seen better times, but plays exellent. I ask because I noticed a rule how to clean your CD in the booklet lol and what CD is all about. It's US release and goes with the number A2-90067

Am I a happy owner of the artifact?

It looks like you've got a record club pressing of the US release. Details here.

    5 Drowning Man (4:12)
    6 The Refugee (3:40)
7 Two Hearts Beat as One (5:00 instead of the actual 4:02)
8 Red Light (4:09 instead of the actual 3:46)
9 Surrender (6:01 instead of the actual 5:34)

Have you checked to see if there's a date stamp or code along the inner ring of the disc? Btw, discs with errors are generally more valuable to collectors. Obviously the CD wasn't released at the time of the album release, but I think most of those CD re-releases were done in the early 90s, maybe 1994, something like that. I'm sure a more hardcore collector than me could tell you.
  5. No visible date, the inner ring code says 2A A290067 06 A. That's all, I suppose that code means something, but I don't know where to check it. I believe CD belongs to early 90s but still not sure. Thanks for help anyway
  6. Here is a disc

    back

    buklet

  7. Like A Song

That CD was made in 1991, according to this.

  8. Wow, I was 3 back then. This is definitly the oldest disc in my collection)))
    Thank you Sergio.

  9. No worries Ale!

I was only one year old haha...

Regarding the CD cleaning advices, etc. that was common when the CDs started to go on sale to the general public, from 1990 until 1994, 95... Most of my parent's old CD collection has those same advices and specifications about what was a CD, why it holded so much music in such small space, etc etc. That War CD is a nice pressing

That's cool that your parents were into music, my mom didn't even know that U2 exists before I tell her.
One more question, why do you call me Ale?

Oh well, most of my female friends who are called Alejandra call themselves Ale, it's a nice shortement for a truly beautiful name (my brother is called Alejandro). I will stop using it if it bothers you

Aaaa, It's a Spanish name for Alexandra, now I got it. No no, I don't mind, I just didn't know about that. My friends call me Sasha, it's a short form of my name, but I'm going to Spain this fall, so I have to get use to my new name now
