    Consider this - the band never even rehearsed this in Chicago yesterday or in any other North American city, so the last time they probably ever played it was in Santiago back in March. And you know what? They done a brilliant job of One Tree Hill.

    P.S. The solo was fine.

  10. Well hello

    I'll post some pictures later on but,....holy shit. What a show, what an experience. From getting pushed around/jumping during the show, we ended up dead center of the inner circle by the end of the night, but we were in the perfect spot for the bridged. Sometimes they were directly overheard which mean that Bono was literally mere feet from me, and when him and Edge did their little thing at the end of UTEOTW they stopped with me directly in the middle- I have pictures of that moment. I've never gone so crazy at a concert before in my life, and honestly, if it was my last U2 show ever, I wouldn't have wished for a single thing to be different. I'm sorry, but I don't really even have so many words right now as my mind is still pretty much just blown. One Tree Hill was astonishing, and the reason he probably had people clapping during it was because he was nervous. It was NOT on their setlist- they decided to do it COMPLETELY last minute, and Bono preceded it by saying "Alright, we'll make you a deal- we'll play you one more, but if we screw it up, you all have to promise you don't put it on the internet."

    One last thing, that I just must mention that brought my brother and I to tears...at the very end of Streets, after the final cigar lighting (the big buildup at the end, you all know what I'm talking about)...I looked up and put my hands to the sky, and it began to rain. Very gently, but a steady drizzle. Everyone in the pit put their hands up towards the sky, a thousand arms against the redness of the claw, and let the rain shower them for the end of Streets...and then, as the band finished the song and left the stage, the rain ceased slowly. It was as if God looked down and noticed there was U2 show, and decided He would make things special that night. Truly incredible night.

    I know now that I'll never see another show- U2 or any other- that will top what happened last night, and I'm okay with that. The magic that happened was greater than I could have ever expected, and I knew about every song that night (save for Out of Control, which, HOLY SHIT THANK YOU! and One Tree Hill).

    All I could think about, most of the ride home...."I'll bet U2start flips OUT when they see that"

    this has just given me an enormous wave of goosebumps over here, Matt. It sums it all up that made for a truly epic night. I'm so happy for your that you've had the night of your life. Just great
