1. First off, I'm new to the forum...long time U2 fan, so a shout out to ya all!!
I was at the show last night in Chicago....which was just ridiculously good! Talk about a great setlist!
So, I'll get to the point of my post. What does anyone think on a 2011 Chicago 360 dvd release?
Any chance of one? They had such a good show, and there was a helicopter and cessna flying over Soldier Field for nearly the entire show. They had to be filming.
Just a bit of wishful thinking
  2. Hey Nick, welcome here Glad you enjoyed the show. However, those signs you saw about the show being recorded are at every concert. Even though I would be delighted with a DVD release of that show I really wouldn't get my hopes up. The helicopter and cessna sound different though.
Here's the full Chicago Topic where you can discuss the show http://www.u2start.com/topic/8754/
  3. Well, a DVD would be extraordinary, but I don't think we should get our hopes up too much. Welcome to the forum!
  4. Even though the show might be great, it would be a little boring to release yet another Chicago DVD, it's just 6 years ago.. Try another town

    Like Toronto, Montreal, or Moncton

By the sound of it, this show is a lot better than that Chicago show though

  7. as someone who attended both, i fully agree on that.
  8. Hmm, perhaps, but then there were helicopters flying around at Croke Park 09 and there has been no DVD from there.
  9. there were choppers in brazilian show
  10. Bono was in TOP form last night and OTH was obviously pretty amazing...but another Chicago DVD isn't necessary (and I'm from this city and was AT the last show!). It didn't get filmed for a DVD- those helicopters were more than likely news choppers that used overhead footage for a quick transition between commercials, honestly. Don't know what else they would have really been there for.

I would like to see as much diversity as possible for U2's DVDs, to get a wide representation of the globe and their crowds. They haven't done a Canadian DVD yet, so if they were going to do any other 360 show, obviously Moncton would be a good choice.
  11. Bummer on no Chicago DVD release, but I hear ya on it would be way too early for another Chicago DVD. Just a bit of wishful thinking. I do have to get the Rose Bowl recording, that is on the top of my list.
I was at the opening one at Soldier Field in 09, the first show, and while that was an amazing concert, this was perhaps just a notch above.
    Gotta love those four!

  12. Being Canadian I would love to see a DVD release from my home country but let's see...
Sydney, Mexico City, Boston, Slane (in IRELAND), Chicago, Milan, Los Angeles (Pasadena) and then...Moncton. I dunno if it has such a ring to it. I don't even think Toronto does, to be honest.
