  3. Everytime you do a lossy compression you lose data. So if you recompress lossy data with a lossy codec you will make the quality worse.

    How much is a different question, with 320 kbps not much, but do it a few times and it will sound like horse shit

    ...yes indeed, if the original is, let's say, 192 kb/s, and for some reason (e.g., editing, eq, etc.) you want to convert back to mp3,
    always go to a higher bitrate. Definitely not lower or the same (in this case to 192, 160, 128 kb/s) - it will ruin the work.
    Think the stream was 192 kb/s tops so recording straight in wav and then back to flac or 320 kb/s for ipod etc should be the prefered linage.

  6. Is this authentic FLAC? Since it's a web broadcast I'm pretty confused if anything is above 128 kbps to be honest

    At school and at home, I learned to be polite and kind, I also learned to respect the work of others, and not throw false witness is someting so old that is written in all versions of the Holy Bible. By the number of your posts, unworthy my job, putting in doubt, or even encouraging others to not download the concert i get the impression that are you left time enough to be babbling about the work of others, and this time you could take advantage and offer your own work, which by the content of scientific knowledge that you shed each quote should be much better.
