  4. I did that too. Just enter www.nolineonthehorizon.com and go to the download service of Linear... There you can choose between streaming the whole movie, streaming each song, download the whole movie or download each song. Easy
  5. I definitely love Winter, and Linear's clip for it.


  6. Oh yes, "Winter" really deserves to be on the album. In my foobar playlist it is after COL.

    He was in Vantage Point yes. His name is Saïd Taghmaoui. He also starred in Three Kings with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. I'm sure I've seen him in other things but I can't place him.

  11. I saw some comments on these forums and other sites where people mentioned not understanding the album, the lyrics, or Linear.
    As some of you know I'm a kind of lyrics freak myself, so I thought I explain some of the stuff I get from the album and the linear story myself.

    The thing is, I think Anton screwed this up. He tried to make the movie too artsy, and didn't use the music with the right scenes to make sense.
    For me, three songs in the album directly address the linear story. I believe that Bono wrote them with this story in mind:

    - Unknown Caller
    - NLOTH
    - FEZ / Being Bron

    As we know, the story is mainly about a Moroccan guy who has moved to France and left his love. One day the guy decides that he made a mistake and tries to go back to Morocco via Spain.

    Unknown Caller IMHO is a dream ("lost between the midnight and the dawning" + "a place of no consequence or company" = dream)

    In this dream his phone starts talking to him, telling him to go back and get back to his love and have a fresh start with her (Go, shout it out, rise up + Restart and re-boot yourself / You're free to go).
    UC also references the guy being a traffic cop and him being frustrated with his situation (I had driven to the scene of the accident / And I sat there waiting for me).

    NLOTH for me is right after UC, right after that dream, him thinking about his girl, fantasizing about her (She said "Time is irrelevant, it's not linear" / Then she put her tongue in my ear -- He is fantasizing and that's why the girl says it's not linear).
    He is thinking about going back and restarting as his phone said to him in his dream (You put me on pause / I'm trying to rewind and replay). The song even mentions the dream (Every night I have the same dream) and he is "hatching some plot" to get back.
    And also the great line that references him being a traffic cop in france (I'm a traffic cop, rue du Marais / The sirens are wailing but it's me that wants to get away) and that he wants to get away and go back.

    Then comes Fez / Being Born. I don't think the lyrics on this one need any explaining, he has almost reached his destination and compares his ferry ride home to giving birth and being re-born, a new start!


    Sorry about the long rant, wanted to share the joy that these songs give me with you all.
    The other songs on the album can also be connected to the linear story in some way or another, but the ones with direct mentions of the story line in their lyrics are these three.
