Also got to see the encore for Sao Paolo 1 - was sold a fake ticket for it but managed to get past security for the encore.
Different experiences at them all but can safely say that I will never queue as long as 36 hours for a gig again (as fun as it actually was), my favourite position in the crowd has to be close-ish to the ring in the main GA section (really think the pit is overrated).
The gigs at the start had an earnest freshness about them but the current set list is just simply awesome. Feel privelleged to have gotten to see favourites such as TUF, Bad, HMTMKMKM and my all-time favourite Zooropa. Great tour!
Gearing up to head off to Toronto today for Monday's show. Needless to say I'm pumped. Really wish the Toronto thread had been started though before I left cause I'm not sure how much I will be on in the next few days. Anyways guys enjoy the brodcast of Montreal and keep your fingers crossed for me that there is an amazing bootleg from Toronto!
Foxboro (Boston) 1 & 2 2009
FedEx Field (DC) 2009
Going to Philly next week and Moncton on the 30th! The Moncton show will be my 16th U2 show going back to Popmart in 1997. I thought that was a lot, but I guess I have some shows to make up if I want to get to 49!
2011 - Montreal QC Hippodrome Stadium 07.08,09
Philadelphia,PA Lincoln Field 07.14
East Rutherford,NJ New Meadowlands Stadium 07.20
6 shows...not bad.In 1987 I saw the band 10 times and in 1992 I also saw them 10 times, but I was much younger, single and didnt have 4 kids. Now my oldest is 17,and she goes to some of the shows with me.....times flies...
Just two (Toronto 2009 - Night #1 and Toronto 2011). I wish I lived in Europe if only (but not only) to be geographically closer to many more shows. However, the two shows I that did see were very different in terms of both setlist and overall experience. I can't compain - and won't!
