when thinking about meeting one of the band someday and actually getting to chat or talk with them longer than a handshake or a nod, what is the ratio of your chances to meet the band
The whole band for me woukd be like -10000000% because i dont ever think ill meet the band, although id love to meet bono some day and play him some of my music to him. but theres no way in hell id be singled out in the more than 10,00000000 fans...so i wander (i know this sounds silly but what do you think of your ratio of chances..
This is an akward topic, but I'm wondering a similar thing since I'm travelling to Dublin next week... I think I might have a strong chance to meet them around Killiney or maybe the HQ studios from Jul 31 to Aug 2 when we fly back... I'm dreaming of meeting them virtually every night, and they're still nice dreams, but I'm afraid they might become nightmares soon
best thing is, don't expect to meet them....... then it might happen
one day it was in 2008 and I never expected to meet them, because like you said, what are the odds -- but then it did happen at HQ in Dublin. It can happen anywhere, anytime. Just don't expect to meet them because you might be disappointed in the end. but walking the streets of Dublin or Howth while knowing the lads are actually in town really rises your chances to bump into them. In Dublin, they're folks like you and me.

There are many ways to "make" money. Only one way to meet the band.
I have a friend who hates the band (we don't talk much these days) and he had a brief encounter with Bono about five years ago at a night club in France. Details are sketchy.
