  1. I have listened to CIN about 100 more times than I listened to NLOTH. It's a real grower.

    REM produce consistently good albums and vary their setlists to keep the interest in bootlegs / fans going and don't just play a greatest hits list every night. Seen U2 for over 25 years but am so frustrated by their rigid set lists and they could certainly take a leaf out of REM's and Pearl Jam's shows.

  2. For my money, CIN is extraordinary mainly because of its eclectic nature - it has songs of diverse moods and tempos. It doesn't have the consistency of albums such as Accelerate or Up, which is not necessarily negative. In terms of eclecticism, I think it may be deemed a masterpiece.

    That is very true and agree with you on it. But I wouldn't call it a masterpiece as a whole, that's what I meant.

  7. Hoping they tour with this new album if they release it soon I'd love to see them live with both Collapse AND another albums worth of material <3
  8. I want to see them live SO BADLY. I hope it's true as well, give me a new album by Xmas time and tour Europe during next spring, and I'll be happy.

    this, they're top of my "bands i haven't seen yet but would give a limb or two to" list.

    speaking of live R.E.M., could anyone recommend me some good bootlegs?

  11. Not exactly bootlegs, but their official releases "Road Movie" and "Perfect Square" are damn awesome. PM me if you want to know where to get them very cheap!
