1. if they ever decided not to play WOWY at a gig ud get atleast half the crowd (the casual fans) leaving the show feeling a little pissed, thats why we will always get BD too.

  2. In a smaller venue, I agree. In a stadium full of 60,000 people, many of them "casual" fans, I think that's too big of a risk.

Disagree here. They already left out Pride (In The Name Of Love), so WOWY could (should!) go the same way for a while.

  4. True.On the first leg, of the Vertigo Tour 2005,WOWY,was played only 4 times, out of 29 shows.I believe, every show on that leg,was inside arenas. When the band played in Europe that summer,in mostly stadiums,WOWY was played 29 times, out of 32 gigs.I think they "rediscovered" the song. The released version, from Milan (07.21.05), is absolutely fantastic. When they returned to the States, for the 3rd leg,WOWY was played at all 50 gigs.

I love the song, and I think it really should be played at most,if not all gigs. When they closed my MSG show (10.07.05) with WOWY,I didnt expect it,and it was a fantastic ending. The way it ascends upward. It seems to first fly, then soar.

WOWY, should have ended the 360 gigs,IMO.Its a classic.MOS ended the shows, on kind of a downer. Most casual fans, dont know the tune either.

BTBS should have been played at a few gigs.Maybe they will add it to the next tour
  5. Both Pride and WOWY are GREAT songs but I think WOWY has more wide-spread appeal. I know I may get "jumped on" for saying this, but U2 consistently fills 60000-seat stadiums on multiple nights because they play the big ones. Sure, bands like Radiohead and Pearl Jam (who I am a huge fan of) vary their setlist from night to night but they'd never fill the Rose Bowl.

Agreed. Or +1 as you guys put it on here.
  7. They gave SBS a rest during Popmart, and WOWY a rest during parts of Elevation and Vertigo. BTBS needed to sit this tour out so they could play some of the other anthems. It was def stale on Vertigo. I had heard it ay EVERY show I attended throughout Popmart, ELevation and Vertigo. I was glad to see it on the shelf this tour.
