1. Yeah Lion King was huge for me then, and still is now- what an amazing movie. Which ones haven't you seen? Or, which ones have you? I can recommend the most accessible ones on there, that you'd almost certainly love

I haven't seen American Beauty, The Departed, American History X, Inception, Magnolia, Crash, Good Will Hunting, Network & The Graduate. A couple there I also haven't seen in AGES too.

  4. American Beauty changed the way I live my life. Only movie on that list to do so.

  5. It's an awesome piece of art. Among my 10 favorites too, probably in my top 5.

    That videoclub being PirateBay?

I am currently getting American Beauty, so it'll be watched very soon.
  7. Many of my friends who I've shown it to have said "Kevin Spacy was just WEIRD in the movie, and his sick obsessions turned them off of an otherwise great film". But I disagree...Spacy's character wasn't honestly infatuated with what you'll see him drooling over...it symbolized an obsession with returning to youth and innocence. Don't take it too literally- his love for the girl in the film is merely a symbol of something far greater, far more emotional.

  8. I'm usually all against piracy... But in concrete cases of flagrant failure to comply with the Film Law like this one, I allow you to use your pseudo-videoclub
  9. Since we're on the topic of being against piracy, I added 3 new blu-rays to my collection today.

When it comes to music, I'm throughly against it. But movies, I'm not really bothered.
  11. I just prefer watching hard copies of movies, I can honestly notice the difference even when the torrents are high quality. Something about a physical DVD playing through a good TV that I love. There's plenty of used resale shops, rental stores, and Wal-Marts around that I can generally see whatever I want fairly cheap.

I usually just borrow movies off of friends. I don't watch that many movies so I simply don't buy them. Plus, DVDs can be fairly expensive here, unless you go to a cash converter shop when they sell them for about 50p, but the boxes are in horrible condition. We don't even have that many rental stores anymore, Blockbuster shut down near where I live
