    That first wide awake in the second set of them was one of the best I've ever heard
  3. Wide awakes were really good but Bono's voice is wrecked. First verse was terrible.


  4. I'll have to wait to pass judgement until a better recording is available, it could be the video... But it sure sounded really bad a few times.
  5. Bono's voice sounds strained, but it could be the emotion. At one point he sounds as if he's crying or fighting back tears. Most of BAD is still amazing, considering how many shows they've played and how bad the weather has been recently, it's a miracle Bono isn't sick and still able to sing like that. Major goosebumps here, glad they played Bad again. I'll never forget hearing it live for the first time in Rome in 2010.

    I'm not really surprised by it though : end of the show, end of the tour, emotion, tiredness...

    Yes, absolutely! I had the same impression, too. And hey, the man is 51 and this is the end of a 2 year amazing tour! Even the best things don't last forever... and although Bono's voice keeps changing, I know it'll be a pleasure to hear him sing until he enjoys singing and being in the band. Hopefully we'll get a few more years of that

    It is as if the band, and Bono, have matured since the Vertigo tour. But I'm well aware this can't go on indefinitely. In all likelihood, there won't be another tour this big in U2's history. But I'm sure - hopeful, at least - that this won't mean times won't be any less exciting for us (die hard) U2 fans!

  12. I had done some complaining about the lack of rotation in the setlist - and I take it all back. I simply wish they played "Bad" at every show so I would have (finally) seen it - I realize that it wouldn't be such a big deal if they played it every night. Sadly, I have never seen it performed live and may not ever - I suppose you never know. It is my own fault, however. In 2001, I chose not to pay $300 from a scalper to see them in Toronto - which, of course, I have regretted for over a decade now. So to those of you who can get to Moncton this Saturday (I can not and won't regret it) but are "on the fence" about going due to $$$$ - JUST GO!!!

    A list to end my post: Top five U2 songs I have never seen live (that have been played live - and in North America. So no "Lemon" or "God Part 2" included here).
