1. I've just downloaded Rock Dust Light Star.

Good album to play in the car while travelling to Italy

  2. On vinyl!^
  3. ^ Absolute classic. Takes me somewhere else entirely where no record ever did.

This is today's pick - late 1920s / early 1930s stuff by an innovator of the blues.

  4. cool .. this is what is called going back to the roots
  5. Sure is. I heard a band covering his song earlier this year, the singer said it's from 1937 and I was fascinated with the song. 32-20 Blues he called it and so I came across this tonight and went for it.
  6. Eric Clapton made a tribute album to him years ago .. Me and Mr Johnson if i'm not wrong
  7. It certainly was. I might have a listen - already enjoyed the Orbison tribute album (and the show I went to). Not come out my CD stacker as yet.
  8. Love the Robert Johnson pick. One of several great Mississippi blues Musicians.

Not sure how many know this album, but I would put it up there with Neil Young's best. Ambulance Blues belongs in the discussion of greatest album closers.

  9. a modern classic.
