Ee-fa Some mad Irish names out there. My name in Irish would be Seosamh, pronounced Show-suff

lol that's cool these two names would be "Eva" and "Josef" in German then. all our languages are so similar to each other.... in a way only thing about Irish is that it's written entirely different from the way it's pronounced... all I say is Dun Laoghaire
  3. So how would you translate an English name to Irish?
  4. I dunno bout translating directly but I just know a couple off the top of my head. Don't know Drew in Irish sorry
  5. What about Fabian/John?

Similar in sounds. Even I don't understand why it's so complicated to write. Haha Dun Laoghaire, I heard someone pronounce it Dun Lao-ga-hairy Dun Leeree is kinda how you pronounce it.

    John would be Sean. (Shawn)
  7. so John would be Sean or Eoin
  8. Mine is Gerard O'Donnell. Creative I'm sure you'll agree.
  9. I like that.
  10. Eoin? Not sure about that Thought that would be Irish for Owen, but it can also be Eoghain I suppose.
