1. ill limit myself to the not 360 stage.

    best zootv>vertigo>popmart>JT>elevation worst

notes:vertigo: a big compilation, with some good stuff from HTDAAB.
popmart: no many classics, but a strong and complete setlist and feeling
    elevation: u2 at new century
  2. But during the Elevation Tour, imho, so many of the classics (e.g. Streets, Bad, One, WOWY, ISHFWILF, The Fly, UTEOTW) were played so well. You can find great perfromances of all these songs in the Boston/Slane DVD's or the Notre Dame show.

  3. 1. Zoo TV
    2. PopMart
    3. Lovetown
    4. 360

that's the top 4 for me, the rest i'm not sure how i'd rank.

  4. Elevation had some exceptionally emotional concerts that would get into my top 10, I'm speaking of Slane of course overall it was one of the weaker U2 tours due to Bono's vocal problems and unfortunately it was also supporting one of U2's weakest albums. Popmart is only saved from being lower due to the absolutely awesome power of the album it was supporting.
  5. Best: Zoo TV Tour/ Joshua Tree Tour
    Worst: Elevation Tour
  6. wow, best - zoo, JT, Vertigo, Love town, Elevation, 360
    worst - Pop mart
  7. Lucky enough to see at least 2 shows on every tour since 1992- for me

    ZOO TV indoors
    Zooropa
    POPMART
    360
    Joshua Tree
    Lovetown
    Vertigo- outdoors better than indoors
    UF
Elevation- started off good but went downhill after the 1st Leg
    War
    October Era
    Boy Era
  8. best tour : zoo tv
worst : Elevation tour (with the worst album of U2 "all that you can't leave behind" )
  9. Wow! A lot of hate around here for ALYCLB. C'mon, it's not that bad. It's got "Kite" and Walk On" - two solid tracks - as well as the other two decent live standards, BD and Elevation.
  10. kite disappeared from 360 tour
  11. Best: Vertigo
    Worst: PopMart

    Explanation:

If you are looking to compare each tour as a whole, I believe the Vertigo Tour is by far the best. Their playlist had a huge variety throughout the tour, they were almost always in top form with many memorable gigs. Ones that immediately come to mind are the MSG shows, the Saitama shows, and the Honolulu gig. The 360 Tour did not take the top spot even though the first U2 gig I had ever attended was Anaheim 2 (aka North American Glastonbury) simply because I felt that it took the band a rather long time to grow into it, especially after their new material received mixed reactions. Let there be no mistake, there were tons of memorable gigs, but I feel that many of those memorable gigs happened after they dropped their new material. I would rank their 360 Tour 3rd, just below Elevation.

I'm going to be quite honest and say that I did not like their ZooTV or PopMart Tours very much. PopMart took the bottom spot simply because the band was highly inconsistent. They would put up a stellar show one night and fall flat the next. I liked the musical aspect of ZooTV, but I didn't really like the general feel of satire and self deprecation that the band took up. When you compare ZooTV to the more current tours, especially the simplified Elevation Tour, I see a huge change in attitude that led to a more passionate band. Of course, people will disagree, but that's what opinions are for.

actually it's not that bad in absolute terms, it's bad in U2 discography (personally i "hate" more the Bomb )
there's New York there too, which i consider the last from the 90's genius (till something in No Line)
it's "awesome" that from such an album came such an amazing tour
