Well, I learned the solo, and then didn't play it for a while. Then I started playing what I remembered, which wasn't 100% correct, and then I played that A LOT

Don't you play by ear? I would know if a solo is incomplete or incorrect at first sight... anyway, I can understand what happened to you, it's happened to me (on purpose, though) with some tracks... I use to do "simplified" versions of songs for playing them with just guitar and voice, and then when I go back to the original song, I sometimes have forgotten how to play it
  3. I'm too lazy to play by ear And I don't have such good ears as you (you told us about that relative ear thing). I sometimes play by ear, but I'm not that good at it, sometimes I get it right, sometimes wrong.

It's just practice, man Anyway, I sometimes are too lazy and check tabs and chord tabs also, don't think you're depricable or something, we all have our lazy moments

I'm playing a customized version of Muse's Escape, which I use to link with U2's Running To Stand Still (both in D, similar tempos in my versions)... I love it
  5. Now I want to hear that version!
  6. Last night's mini-setlist in my basement...

Once in a Lifetime- Talking Heads
    Yellow- Coldplay
    The Fly- U2
    All My Life- Foo Fighters

Trying to work all of those songs into a much longer setlist that I'll eventually be playing all the way through to keep my chops up for the band next year (if it happens again)
  7. Those bends in Yellow (the electric version) can be tough to get just right.
  8. Add "Two Princes" by the Spin Doctors to that list, too, I "opened" with it. Fun as hell to improvise your own licks over the solo in that song. Had a great time with it.

  9. I don't feel like recording at all, maybe later today...

By the way, I was thinking of some ways to improve the Am-G-F-E medley I developed some time ago, and I thought it would be cool to post it for those of you who might have not heard it... Yes, my ego is THAT big, hahaha

I remember seeing that video and I loved it. Is that the chord progression of most of those songs are did you just fit them in? I know some are and some aren't, I'm just curious how many are.
