1. A lot of people here will know that I am a huge My Chemical Romance fan. I've never thought of opening a topic about them until today, after their jaw-dropping performance at Reading Festival last night. They basically blew the place to bits, it was an insane performance.

I have seen them twice, both really impressive.

    Anyone else like them?
  2. Taken this from the Muse topic:

Don't know if it's the vocals (they have very demanding vocal lines on their records, and I guess it must be very difficult to translate them into a live performance) or their postpunk-indie-emo feeling/looking , but I haven't heard a live version of any song that I liked better than the studio version yet

I kind of know what you mean. Gerard's vocals aren't exactly superb live, but they have improved over the years. So yeah, it might actually be the vocals, and as you said, they do have some great vocals on the studio recordings. I do love their 'Mad Max' theme they done for Danger Days, goes along with the tradition of My Chemical Romance doing a theme. I prefer quite a few songs live than studio, but it depends what your taste is. Na Na Na is one of the most mental songs I've ever seen at a concert.
  3. I quite like them
My girlfriend loves The Black Parade (album) and when we started going out together I borrowed it from her. I love it since. Specially Famous Last Words (one of the best songs of the decade, in my opinion) and Welcome To The Black Parade, both are my favorite songs from them. Moreover, the band's name goes pretty well with my relationship with my girlfriend (I'm a Chemist, and she loves me, so she sometimes calls me My Chemical Romance hahaha)...
  4. I have seen them twice once at Glasgow and the other at T in the park, my eldest daughter got me into them, as alive act they are right up there with the best live acts i have seen, if you want a great song look up Velocity get up and go. or check out their latest album, danger days.

Did you see them at SECC earlier this year? That's where I saw them for the second time. The first time, I saw them at Edinburgh Corn Exchange, which was really hard to get tickets for considering the size of the venue.

    Don't you mean, Planetary (GO!)?

  7. This is F.-.-.G awesome. Gotta loooooooooove that crowd, man...

  8. Reading Festival is definitely MCR's best performance. They took advantage of a great opportunity to rise in popularly, and they've taken it. Everyone fucking loved it.

EDIT: Check out I'm Not Okay (I Promise), the crowd were great in that too. But I do agree with you Sergio, the audience were mental in Famous Last Words.
