1. They're quitting at quite a young age, the singer's 34. He said in a TV show that it was because they just felt that the energy they used to feel in everything they did is disappearing. They want to end on a high note.
  2. Watching a video on YT of the last song, my favorite, so epic.
  3. That's the best way to end it. If you feel you're not hitting as well as you used to, no point to keep recording and keep churning out crap as some bands do - who are well past their prime.

Yeah, these guys are an amazing band, and should quit as one.

Wouldn't mind a reunion if they feel the energy coming back though

I really wonder what the singer's gonna do, he's a marvelous frontman and you can tell that he's so in love with being on stage.
  5. Some reunions are terrible though because they don't have that energy anymore or just not into it as much as they'd used to be.

That singer might start a solo career - why not, may as well.
  6. Was kind of epic to be in like the 6th or 7th row too, to the left.
  7. Maybe I should upload some of pics. Unfortunately the video I filmed has terrible sound, the bass was too powerful. Really a shame since I filmed quite a lot.
  8. Good seats then (or good standing position)? Was it a general admission show or just see where you end up-type set up (much like 360)?

The videos should be cool - put 'em on Youtube and see if others also went to the same show on there. Most bands do end up releasing DVDs of their final shows or at least end-of-tour shows. I still wanna get the new Weird Al DVD that's out. Plus lots of good music coming out this second half of the year - I'm looking forward to those.
  9. Well, it was at the amusement park in town, Liseberg. The biggest amusement park in the Nordic countries. No seats, just a stage, and some 7000 people in front of it. Liseberg is a really great place for concerts, you only have to pay entrance to the park which is 80 Swedish Crowns, about 11 of your Australian Dollars. I saw Ringo Starr there in June as well.

The sound is way too terrible on my videos, I did get great photos though.

  10. We U2 fans are lucky because every show is taped and shared, and we can sync our crappy-sounding videos to great audio sources
  11. I think I'll upload some of my best photos
  12. Sergio, did you see the best of The Ark I made for you? (In the suitable thread, of course )
