1. One of the most famous shows in the rock history. Noel himself said they were making history, and they certainly were. They were at their very peak of popularity everywhere, and obviously even more in the UK.

They left us two sold-out shows in a row (10th and 11th of August), featuring 250.000 people (although there were over 2.7 million ticket requests - that's 1 of each 20 UK inhabitants at the time), 2 new songs premiere ("It's getting better (man!)" and "My big mouth", both of which would be released on their next album)... And a couple of brilliant quotes:

Liam (post show): For a six-week period building up to that gig we were the biggest band in the world, we were bigger, dare I say it, fucking God!!

Noel: This is history, right here, right now, this is history!!
Liam: I thought it was Knebworth...
Noel: Oh well... Good evening, planet Earth!!!
    ***first song begins***

Noel: You can't play anywhere bigger. After this, what are we gonna do? Where are we gonna go?

Both setlists were identical, only difference was that the song Whatever ended with Octopus' Garden on the second night and with All The Young Dudes on the first one. Oh, and John Squire joined them for Champagne Supernova on night 2

The second night was broadcasted with a short delay by several FM stations around the world. The last 3 songs of that 2nd concert weren't included on the broadcast, so most radios replaced them with a recording of the previous night's 3 last songs. Therefore, the most-widely available bootleg consists of actually a mix of night 2 and 1. Anyway, I bring you both options: a real 2nd night bootleg (3 last songs are audience-recording quality) and the famous bootleg (with everything in FM quality). Choose whatever

  2. very very very nice .. thank you
  3. Nice feature. I have been listening to a lot of Oasis this weekend. Glastonbury 95, Point Depot 96, and, obviously, this show. I have had the radio broadcast for some time but then found the "real" show the other daywhich sounds even better than the radio broadcast. Admiittedly, I was a bit disappointed that the last few songs did not have the same sound quality as the rest of the show.
  4. Thank you for this, much appreciated.

    regards WIRE
  5. Thank you Sergio!
  6. Thanked you already in the what song topic. Once was not enough. Thanks times a bajillion Sergio
  7. Welcome you all I forgot to mention that I got the links from t.u.b.e. (the "fake" show) and from Taringa (the full show), kudos to the original recorders and uploaders of these

I will share some more Oasis soon, I'm in a pretty strong Oasis mood lately (today I couldn't stop humming Live Forever during an exam - it was a fucking nightmare)...
