My original interest in this set was my own cassette from way back when which I hoped to fix up and share. When comparing to the recordings available here I found that A) the SB recordings here were incomplete, and B) my own recording was missing about 6 songs (perhaps to fit on a 90 minute tape). I downloaded the two star audience recording and found that it was really pretty good, so I decided to fix its flaws and make the results available here. Note the setlist posted for this date is incomplete - this is obvious once the audience recording is downloaded. There are actually 24 songs in all, a fairly large set for the Joshua Tree era:
1) Intro
2) Where the Streets Have No Name
3) I Will Follow
4) Trip Through Your Wires
5) I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
6) MLK
7) The Unforgettable Fire
8) Bullet the Blue Sky
9) Running to Stand Still
10) Sunday Bloody Sunday
11) Exit
12) In God's Country
13) Help
14) Helter Skelter
15) Maggie's Farm
16) C'mon Everybody
17) Bad
18) October
19) New Year's Day
20) Pride
21) One Tree Hill
22) With or Without You
23) Spanish Eyes
24) Out of Control
25) '40'
I slowed down an obviously fast recording, added a bit of bass while trying to avoid what sounds like turntable rumble, and cut the high end to make it more listenable. I think the results are pretty excellent, certainly worthy of more than two stars (3 1/2 to 4 even). And again, this seems to be the only complete recording of the show, as nice as the SB is. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For is a great sing along not to be missed.
p.s. The original files were 128 kbps mp3s, hence the same used for output.
