1. You were only a new fan weren't you at the time, or relatively new?

  2. More U2 specific stuff. Know its alot more of just random discussions and stuff. Not that thats a bad thing. U2 fans are great for most discussions.

  3. I remember when I first really became a fan. Spring 2007. I had always liked the band, but I wasen't really a hardcore fan. Than I bought the Joshua Tree, and listened to it back to back like 10 times in a row. I actually fell asleep on the last time through, I think during RTSS.
  4. Now I started thinking about when I became a real fan, before I just loved BD and had it on my iPod.
  5. The U2 fans are fantastic for discussions, yeah. As opposed to half the Michael Jackson fans, who have their heads in their asses, sadly. Most rock bands have great fans I've noticed as opposed to pop, where there's a strange kind of vibe to them.

The Joshua Tree is what made me a fan. But then I heard Original Soundtracks and became a diehard fan, and here I still am.

Never really cared for that one. For a long time I was mostely a fan of there 80s stuff, but about a year or so ago, I really got into Achtung Baby.
  7. My music teacher showed my class this:

I went home, watched it for the rest of the day then bought U218 singles with the live tracks on iTunes, then AB and HTDAAB, by that time it all had gone downhill.

    That will difinintly do it.
  9. I was so amazed with Streets and the crowd at Slane, how big it was, how they all jumped, everything. It was mostly extremely fascinated with all of it.

One of the first live performances i really dug also.
  11. I consider U2 one of the two bands that I truly found redemption in the music and lyrics of. The other band would be The Who.

  12. I've been a U2 fan for almost 11 years now, all started with Beautiful Day. Me and my brother became fans around the same time. After that, we just bought everything. I remember sitting at the TV watching the Boston DVD as a 7 year old, constantly repeating The Fly, because it's just outstanding.
