1. I think it's pretty good, though it does sound like a Rihanna/Kanye type song.

The hook is good, Chris Martin's singing in the verses could be better though, they're rather bland, unlike say LiTii which is a similar type of song
  2. does anyone else get the feeling that this is the sort of thing that u2 claimed they wanted to be doing with their more 'club' sounding album? these couple of new CP songs have techno influences etc, so if it is what u2 wanted to do.. coldplay have done it first
  3. Good song. Not a single.

    What I said.

I've listened to it 2 or 3 more times now and I reaffirm my opinion.

By the way, any tour dates confirmed? Yesterday morning I got an email from a music page where I'm suscribed, and they announced the Coldplay concert in Madrid on January 26th as "confirmed". Any news, anyone?
  5. Charlie Brown should have been the single... It's a much better song and would've drawn much more attention to the album prior to release... Why they picked Paradise i really have no idea...

As for Paradise i have listened to it about 15 or so times now and it definitely does grow on you and get stuck in your head... And with regard to the actual album i think it will sit nicely between Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown...
  6. Of these new songs, I really like Moving on to Mars. It's a pity it isn't in the album!
  7. In honour of the Rihanna influence on the new album, I have renamed Paradise Parasole.
  8. Paradise is not as good as I hoped it'd be. ETDIAW FTW!

You may be right, however I think where U2 goes next will sound totally different from what Coldplay is doing right now. Recently Bono's been talking about how after looking back on Achtung Baby during the making of From The Sky Down, he realizes that they're in the same position now. In a way they're on top of the world, but at the same time if they don't do something quick they'll lose it.

Also, even if U2 does go in the same direciton, we all know they'd do it much better
  10. First time listening: 6/10
    Tenth time listening: 8/10
    Now: 9/10
  11. I am obsessed with this song. I agree- it does sound very dubstep-ish...which is part of the reason I like it.

  12. 'Afgespeeld' means 'Played x times'
I reset those statistics a month ago.
