  2. Well everyone knows that Google+ is Google's version of Facebook. I believe Sergio was wanting a full detailed answer.

    Google+, yes, is like Facebook & Twitter put together in a way, but is different. Instead of friends, you can add people to your 'circles'. There are different group in these 'circles': friends, family, acquaintances & following. Following is really like Twitter. There are a few famous characters that have Google+ (Richard Branston, Will-I-Am). On Google+, you don't 'like' a status or a comment, you '+1' it. There is a chat system too, which is apparently more reliable than the Facebook one. It is tipped to become more popular than Facebook in the future, and I agree with that statement. Facebook is starting to irritate people with it's hideous new look, so many are moving to Google+. I personally think it looks really clean, and a bit more professional than Facebook. I thoroughly recommend that everyone tries it out.

    Plus, you can get a mobile app for it.

  4. Yeah the mobile app is slick, works so mch cleaner than Facebook's. It'll take off in the next few months, people will be stubborn to part from Facebook though. Add me on it, Joe Fahey.

  7. I only got Google+ because Facebook is starting to irritate me. The layout annoys me, all of those stupid groups annoy me. Google+ seems more mature.
  8. I agree with you Joe, the mobile version is great. My Facebook app always crashes, even if it's Android or iPod.
  9. how do you guys make sure your computer harddrive data won't be lost? I mean, do you make any safety back-ups of your harddrives from time to time, and how do you do it? I noticed my main harddrive is beginning to not work properly anymore, and more and more often doesn't start right. I have around 800GB of data on it which I don't want to lose. But burn all of it to dvds? Or should I get a new harddrive and copy all the stuff from old to new hd? what's the most efficient and savest way to safe your data?

    There are a number of ways of backing up data. Personally I back up the important stuff such as photos, music and work onto a portable hard drive which is bigger than my laptop hard drive. I also have a back up of the desktop computer. I do it once a week, Sunday, which is when I run virus scans and cleaning utilities etc. Programs etc can just be re-downloaded/installed.

    If you don't have a large enough portable hard drive/memory device then you can back up onto a second hard drive if your PC hace one. Or you could use online backup storage (similar to Windows SkyDrive) where you upload all the data to the internet, be wary of slow upload speeds though.

    If I was you, buy a portable hard drive (1TB+) and just copy everything to it. Operating systems have back up utilities built in these days butcopy and paste works fine.

    I'd recommend using an external hardrive, u shud be able to get 1TB pretty cheap. Ideally its good to have 2 copies of everything, cuz hardrives can fail at the worsts times.

    If ur using windows 7( i think Vista has it too), it has a back up program included. U can select a schedule so it can automatically backs up ur system every week or month,etc. Then if anything was to ever go wrong with ur pc and u had to start from scratch, the same back up program can restore ur pc to ur last back up point.

    to get to the program search for 'backup and restore" in the programs and files search field. It is pretty easy to set up.

    Also, most external hardrives are coming with back up software included now, so u could use that instead of the windows version.
