At Real he didnt fail imo. He scored 8 goals in 20 matches. If they had some more faith in him I think he could have been the same succes as Van Nistelrooy was. And at AC Milan he played some games as the right winger, and I think he is a great goal scorer but especially in the 16th meter area. Outside of the box he isnt that special, he doenst have a great technique and isnt a player who, like Zlatan, Eto'o, van Persie, dribbels to the goal. He just need to get the balls in the box and there is one of the best of the world imo.
very good points mainly for his Milan experience (don't know so much about Real one) .. he was put too external in the attack for his skills.
good scorer for sure even if i think a champion sooner or later finds his right place in a big team if not the first time the second at least
Van Nistelrooy was a champion .. far better
Originally posted by bartajaxTo be honest, I think that if Huntelaar would have played at the last WC instead of van Persie we would be the worldchampion now
Only way we couldve won the WC in a fair way is by playing without 2 people like Van Bommel and De Jong. Also if there were a bit more team play in the attack. Robben only did his run for himself and Sneijder's first look was always at goal in the final (shooting at goal from the kickoff after Spain's goal, FKs from 30m etc). Some players wanted to be way too important.
Van Persie played a bad tournament, bad luck with every ball he touched. But Huntelaar was also in bad form. In general I still think Van Persie is the best out of the two. Both on paper and in real life. That said Huntelaar is a good player as well. Just he ruined his carreer by going to the wrong teams.
