1. Incredible perfomance, I didn't expect it to be so good.
  2. A Man And A Woman ? Really ? Didn't expect that...
I didn't even expect it to be 7 songs actually.
Listening to it now, thanks for the links!

  4. Watched it again, just as good as when I watched it last night. Beautiful performances of One, Miss, and SBS. I would be in for an acoustic Sunday Bloody Sunday next tour.

    You are my hero.

Granted that this is an absolute 5 star bootleg, considering the quality video we have, I will definitely be keeping this one as an inspiration to learn to play guitar.

I will post again after I've listened!

Shut up before they do an acoustic tour
  7. Wow what a show!!! Thanks for all the links, downloading and watching now after a whole weekend of work. Just got home and read about the amazing setlist.

Btw, here's the link to K'naan and Bono:

  8. Nah, it's pretty clear to me at least. Being negative all the time about everything must make life a blast! And now look at all this "unwanted" attention he's getting!!

I think the set was perfectly suited for the venue, especially with the string sections. A Man and a Woman is always skipped on my iPod, but this version was pretty good and I give them credit for going out on a limb with playing several songs the audience wouldn't necessarily know (Staring at the Sun, Miss Sarajevo, and AMAAW). Nice work, boys.

thanks for this one ....it's realy realy great .....
  10. Just finished my listen of this.

It's a little jumpy at times, but I think that can actually be fixed/will be fixed when an audio rip of a high quality video emerges. The sound quality is absolutely amazing, pretty much equal to the video stream. Not really surprised since the Hollywood bowl is made with superior acoustics in mind.

I would give it easily 5 stars. Best seven song set ever! And it does feel like a typical U2 gig for the reasons I mentioned before.

    1) The band tries some shit out
    2) Bono flubs lyrics, but do so gracefully
    3) Happy birthday is played
    4) A person of great influence speaks before...
    5) The encore

So yeah, love this recording, love this band.
  11. I am watching/listening to this right now and I think they sound great. I was really surprised to see that A Man And A Woman and Sataring At The Sun was played during a run through of my Twitter newsfeed this morning. I also liked how loose the boys were with Bono cracking jokes about songs that should have been hits and even how No Line was not a huge major success. I also noticed he said something about "this is the new us" or something during his intro and I wonder does he mean the band are going to go for a more softer sound next time around? Staring At The Sun with the strings reminded me of North Star from Transformers and I wonder if they are going that route now...
  12. I wonder if some of the special songs were on Clinton's request. We know he's a U2 fan.
