1. I really don't mind the breaks in the songs - they are actually quite funny - great at taking the piss.

  4. Is this a new Coldplay song I'm hearing?
  5. Come on... MX/Hurts, please.
  6. For the people saying it sounds somewhat poppy, what makes you say that? Is it the electronic elements that sometimes make it sound like it could be played in a club? Because that's the only thing I can think of that isn't really all THAT different from what coldplay have done before, at least in terms of the texture and tones of their music.

Coldplay have always danced on the line between alternative and pop. They're played on alternative stations AND pop stations (easy listening) all the time here.

The electronic elements are really what's making the difference for me on this album, (Also Bucklands guitar playing is HUGE on this album - finally he's getting some of his own licks and tricks in there) and I have to say I'm enjoying it a lot. Princess Of China I thought I'd hate, but I love it. The only song I'm not a huge fan of is Paradise, but I can dig it when I listen to the album as a whole. I didn't really like Teardrop when it came out as a single, but listening to it in the context of the album really gives it a new light, and I like it a lot.
