1. Here's the tweet, incase anyone takes it right out of context:

  2. So it all comes down to a definition of the word "remaster". What a joke.
  3. yer sorry about that post,, i was on my galaxy s and i hate posting from the phone as i can't text with out lots off mistakes due to the small key pad ...thanxs to KieronU2 for posting the tweet..
  4. I never really heard a huge difference in the remasters anyway.
  5. Originally posted by NeilIt's been sonically tweaked & polished but not, technically, remastered. Hope that makes more sense to you than it does to me.

    That settles that.
  6. welll if its been tweeked and boosted and louder then i will get it...

so there we are people,,,AB is just repackaged

Read McCormicks tweets before you make a statement.

    1. He said he went to "the source". No where did it say that his source was Bono. There are many more possible sources in the U2 camp than Bono or the band itself. I doubt that he asked Bono and we all know that B isn't exactly the most reliable source.

    2. He said it was kind of remastered - it was "tweaked and boosted", polished maybe, to make it sound "louder". That, to my, sounds like a remaster. It's a question of defining the word "remaster". Discussing the meaning of this vocabulary is ridiculous: I'm sure they did work on the tracks, but decided that, technically, it didn't need to be remastered after all. Why, because AB sounds good. Why messing with it? They have, according to Neil, worked on the tracks to improve them, sonically.

    3. And no, it's not just "repacking". They worked on the original album to improve the sound. And there's a lot of bonus material. I don't think any real fan is buying any of the editions just to have AB and Zooropa. We already have those, why buy it a second time? I'm buying it because of the documentary and the bonus material. I might give away the copies of AB and Zooropa to someone who doesn't have them. The remaster issue doesn't do much for me.
