1. So apparently so far 3 parts in From The Sky Down are missing on the dvd from the broadcasted version.

-The Love Is Blindness solo story (Edge talking about how he put everything into a solo, but Danny and him didn't like it)

-The "sick puppy" demo, specifically where Bono says "It's not alright in fact"

-The "out" segment, going through bands which never made it with "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" playing in the background.

I haven't watched the DVD version myself, these were posted on another forum. Pretty damn lame if it's true..
  2. if anything ud think that the DVD would be the full version and the broadcasted would have has bits missing

  3. I was rather fond of that bit in the trailers. Good job I still have the broadcast recorded.

  4. Yeah I know...makes no sense to me.

  5. all three things you mentioned I haven't seen on the dvd, and I watched it more than once by now...
  6. Damn. The Love Is Blidness segment was amazing. BUT, does that mean that Edge's acoustic version of the song is not cut? That's a win-lose situation then

Yeah that would be cool, but I'm not sure, I haven't seen it myself.

I wonder if all these scenes that are cut plus more will be a on a blu-ray release? The "out" segment I could see being cut from all releases, maybe some of the artists included in it were against that scene being used.
  8. I thought the same while we were watching live on the BBC that night. I would understand that they cut that segment out. Perfectly understandable. BUT the LiB solo and Sick Puppet explanations!? Man! WHY? ¬¬

Yeah, no idea. Especially the Sick Puppy part, it being in the trailer and everything. Kinda stupid.
  10. The remark of Eno after doing a vocal take on Pride 'The only advice I can give you is to sing the first chrous more restraint' is also cut from the dvd. Strange, why did they cut all these scenes for the DvD and not for the broadcast?

  11. Sounds good.

I'm really looking forward to the B-sides CD because of the remixes it includes, but do we know exactly how Achtung Baby is remastered, if at all? I read an article saying that it wasn't edited in any way shape or form.

Not that this would deter me from getting it, but knowing the difference would save me time listening to the remastered cd while comparing it to the cd I got from the used book store for a quarter.
