When Love comes to town has been cut.
  2. I'd rather say that they went the easiest path, took the US version of the ZooTV special (which never had the When Love Comes To Town),
i didn't check but it's for sure NTSC disc, so plays worldwide no problem. End of story.

Since about Blood Red Sky DVD everything they release is NTSC no matter where... they used to do NTSC / PAL earlier, depending on the region.
  3. I've gone downtown today with my girlfriend and I have seen the Super and Uber deluxe boxes............ OOOOH the temptation.............
  4. i went to a record store in front of my college and they had nothing LOL (thank God, don't want to be tempted). but i walked out buying Bob Dylan's Love and Theft and Jeff Buckley's Grace.
  5. I bought Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto and a Spanish artist -called Amaral- double album (2CD+2DVD for 9'95€, ain't bad) too. But I was carrying almost 120€ because I had to buy a thing for my mother, and it was like "is that Super Deluxe AB looking at me???"... It's been tough.

ugh i know, im scared the next time i go to a local mall i'll just buy it off my credit card. i was relieved the 2 disc version wasn't at the record store cuz i would have probably bought it. both the cd's i got were 4.99 (US) soo it was only 10 bucks for 2 cd's. ahaha i bought mylo on amazon and i vividly remember last week when i got home from a long day of school that i just popped it in and listened to it. (Yeah i'm off topic my bad)
  7. Ugh, me and Joe complained about how at Glasto the EBTTRT had Larry and Edge off-sync with each other, and the Fish Out of Water remix is the same way. Why why why why why? It's such a headache. Love the rest of the mix though. Weird without the lights/crowd...

    Not exactly the same, but...

Does anybody else hate it? It would be a killer remix if it wasn't for that, it makes it unlistenable to me.
  9. Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, but I actually really, really like the fact that the Edge comes in somewhat out of synch. It gives the song a much looser feel and combined with the fact that everything comes together right after Edge's solo makes it even better than the real thing for me.

hm, i can't really agree. at glasto larry accidently skips one beat so they are really out of synch which generates quite a mess. the fish out of water remix maybe doesn't feel 'intuitively right' but that's something different, i.e. it may mess with your head but it is perfectly in synch and incomparable to the real mistake at glasto.
    any drummer can confirm

  11. yes, placebo
it's 1.5 dB louder and it actually is very VERY slightly changed (offset corrected, peak limited) but no way any ear in the world can actually hear the difference, comparison of the wave files of the 1991 and 2011 releases very clearly prove no hearable differences.

  12. I didn't have a really close look at Zooropa but at first sight it seems it underwent the exact same treatment as Achtung Baby. I don't know what they actually did do besides removing offset errors and boosting the volume a tiny little bit -- some very slight changes in the wave forms I can't explain -- but for sure, it's definitely impossible for the human ear to hear any changes besides a slight volume boost. Technically I'd say the re-releases of both Achtung Baby and Zooropa are superior though.
