1. i am pretty sure it was the epi casino, lovely guitar if you can find an old 60s model, john lennon used them a lot. and edge been a massive beatles fan, i can imagine him having one.
  2. Fucking, fuck. The supplier has fucked something up with my new guitar, just got to know it's gonna take 3-6 FUCKING MONTHS.

I need to question how important the color of the guitar is. Maybe I'll buy a Sheraton in another color if they have any. Or order it from some web store, 'cause I'm not waiting 'til next year.
  3. If it was a choice between the colour i wanted+ a 3 month wait or another colour but the same setup, id pick the other colour, but thats just cuz im inpatient haha.

The order the right color from the web and not the store where you really would like to buy your stuff option then?
  5. does the website seem credible? and whats their warranty policy like. If they are both good then i'd go with the online store.

I have a friend who bought his guitar there.

The thing is, I'd really like to buy it there, since I had my work experience there this spring.
  8. Interesting bit in the Achtung Baby Uber Box set book...

Danny Lanois is mentions that it was he that came up with/played the "One" intro on a green Gretsch.

Presumably, Bono's late `50's Country Club; which Edge later used in the "Magnificent" video.

Makes sense as it is finger picked and Danny doesn't use plectrums.

There's a short scene of him playing the intro in "From the Sky Down", the first real glimpse of that melody that we ever hear, but I can't be certain it was on that guitar. Obviously it probably wasn't the genesis of that line, but if you're interested in seeing him play it, its definitely in there.
  10. ...You can hear Danny's bits on the Telecaster on "One" too.

Shows what I've heard him say... that he does play a lot on the albums.

On page spread before CD listings start, you can see Larry with what appears to be that green Gretsch - upper left corner.
  12. I love to see Larry playing guitar.
