1. Good idea. I'd like to see how many people put the same song in a list.

Hmm Miss Sarajevo isnt even a U2 song

It has all four U2 members on it, means it's close enough to a U2 song.

  2. Well, technically it's a Passenger song, but it's still a U2 song really. We've heard it was one of the songs on OS#1 that we've heard didn't have that much Brian Eno involvement.
  3. If there are a lot of people who will make a top 100, 50, 25 or 10 list we will need to make some kind of rules for counting the points.
  4. Passengers deserves a lot more respect for being an experiment and paying off.

Songs on that album like United Colours, Slug, Your Blue Room, Miss Sarajevo, Corpse, Always Forever Now, Kind Of Blue, Plot 180, Let's Go Native - and the two B-sides - are all incredible and textured. I love it.
  5. Did a kind of shortlist to pick a top 10 from for me. Just looked at all the albums.

    Tomorrow
    Bad
    The Unforgettable Fire
    Streets
    With Or Without You
    One
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
    Ultra Violet
    Acrobat
    Love Is Blindness
    So Cruel
    Zooropa
    Stay
    Lemon
    Miss Sarajevo
    Your Blue Room
    Last Night On Earth
    Mofo
    Please
    Kite
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    Moment Of Surrender
    Get On Your Boots
    Fez
    Cedars Of Lebanon
North And South Of The River
    The Hands That Built America
  6. 1. Bad
    2. Where the Streets Have No Name
    3. Miss Sarajevo
    4. Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
    5. Ultra Violet (Light My Way)

This would probably be my top 5.
  7. No Boy, War or Rattle and Hum?

    Top 5 for me:

    1. Hawkmoon 269
    2. With A Shout
    3. Zooropa
    4. Levitate
    5. Elvis Presley and America
  8. I don't have Boy, so that is left out for that. I don't know why Hawkmoon didn't get on there, and New Year's Day should be in that list as well.

    I prefer the nineties.
  9. Personally, my favourite song is Stairway to Heaven. I don't think a U2 song tops the list, but it does get damn near.

    My top 5 U2:

    1. The Fly
    2. Where The Streets Have No Name
    3. Until the End of the World
    4. Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
    5. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
  10. You don't have Boy???

The 90s were a great period, not just for U2 but so many others. Once the 80s finished, the music only got better up until 1996 - 1998 and then something happened. The radio was even good in those times - and I remember it. Metal and rock, especially.

And a lot of those songs will be in my top 100. Speaking of the 90s (and you may or may not laugh), but Madonna's last 90s album is fucking immense. Even if you don't like Madonna, you absolutely have to hear the instrumental arrangements, by none other than William Orbit, who you may or may not recognise.
  11. But are you 3 guys up for making a top 50 or top 100 or even a top 10 songs of all time?? Not now but if there are a lot of people who want to make a list, I probably make a U2Start top 100 of all time....
