Because Crazy Tonight kicks 40's ass in my opinion. I do not get the 40 love. It's fine but it's nothing spectacular.
40 is like an appendage of U2's live career. It's been there for most of it, and it plays a significant part whenever it's played, it closes the show. It's THEE closing song. And to have it only played once, on the last night of the tour, was unreal. Did you attend the Moncton concert (I can't remember everyone who did) - I did, it was freakin' awesome when they played 40. I've never been so emotional at a concert.
Crazy Tonight serves a different purpose, it brought a "crazy" groove to the crowd. I loved when they played it. I think if we're to take this album away as a momento of the 360 tour, Crazy deserves to be on there more. It was a staple of the show way more than 40 was. But if we're just looking at it as a chance to get a kickass U2 live album full of whatever songs we want, I think 40 should be there. Crazy tonight has already been on a couple releases, we don't need it again.
